Lakeville, Conn. (25 July 2015) – It was another solid outing for Kyle Gimple in IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge competition at Lime Rock Park on Saturday in Northwest Connecticut. He and his Compass360 Racing team continued to make gains with the No. 75 AERO Advanced Paint Technology/Children’s Tumor Foundation Audi S3 which debuted earlier this year at Sebring International Raceway. Gimple’s co-driver Paul Holton opened the race from 22nd on the grid before handing the car over to Gimple with about 45 minutes remaining in the 2-hour sprint race.
- GS Podium in previous Lime Rock visit, now handling closing duties in ST Audi - Combined class, “sprint” race length at just 2 hours Lakeville, Conn. (20 July 2015) – Since his Lime Rock Park IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge debut in 2011, Kyle Gimple has made four trips to the 1.5-mile Connecticut road course, racing in four very different kinds of cars. And he is looking forward to the fifth. He first ran a Mustang in 2011, followed by a Mazda MX-5 in 2012 and then the Compass360 Racing Honda Civic in 2013 & 2014. The quick bullring circuit has been a strong one for Gimple, who has finished among the top-10 in all but one of his five race events at the track.
Bowmanville, Ont. (7 July 2015) – Kyle Gimple returns to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) this weekend with Compass360 Racing. Though the track isn’t new to Gimple, it is a challenging one and the weekend marks his first driving an Audi S3 at the track. The CTMP event is the fifth round of IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge competition and the fourth outing for the all-new Compass360 Racing prepared Audi S3. Last year at CTMP – which is known for its very fast pace – the track proved a strong one for Gimple and his former co-driver Ryan Eversley when the duo drove to a fourth place finish while racing with a Honda Civic. Gimple showed quick speed at the track, qualifying the car third on the grid.
Watkins Glen, N.Y. (27 June 2015) – It was a thrilling race at historic Watkins Glen International for Kyle Gimple and his Compass360 Racing co-driver Paul Holton as the duo ran in podium contention on a track that was enveloped by heavy rains that created treacherous driving conditions. In the final stages of the race, Gimple appeared poised for a sure podium finish when he had the car in second and chasing down the race leader as he looked to take another win at Watkins Glen. Unfortunately, a mechanical issue caused by the rain ultimately took the team out of contention. Holton opened the race in the No. 75 AERO Advanced Paint Technology/Children’s Tumor Foundation Audi S3 and delivered a great performance by progressing all the way from his 15th starting position up to fourth position by the team’s first pit stop.
Watkins Glen, NY (23 June 2015) - After an eight week break in IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge action, Kyle Gimple is looking forward to beginning a busy stretch of racing at a place where he has a strong record of success. Watkins Glen begins a span of five races in eight weeks for Gimple and his Compass360 Racing team as he pilots the No. 75 AERO Advanced Paint Technology/Children’s Tumor Foundation Audi S3. Another good finish at historic Watkins Glen would be just the way to jumpstart the run of races coming up on the IMSA calendar.
